All That Is Solid Melts Into Éire
'the experience of Irish modernity from 1916-1996'
Paul Guinan, one of Ireland's finest designers, has worked his magic once again and created this superb modernist.ie tote bag.
The crest design uses a font inspired by Percy Metcalfe’s iconic pre-decimal Irish coinage, and at the centre shows the project logo of tower blocks and a pot of gold. The logo represents modern Ireland rising up from historical cliches, and was designed by Rueville Studio.
In a nod to both Marshall Berman's key text on modernity, and to Karl Marx's statement in the communist manifesto, All That Is Solid Melts Into Éire, has become the project slogan. The tote is a Long Handled Westford Mill tote bag, with screen printed design.
